The OG Adidas Sneaker Rihanna Loves

Truth: To this day, I have always felt cool and confident in a pair of righteous sneakers with faded jeans, a white tee and a black cardigan or blazer. It was my go-to look in college and I landed my first writing assignment for The New York Times wearing this outfit in a very intimidating interview. My lucky kicks since 1988? The OG Samba trainer from Adidas ($70) that's beloved by everyone from Rihanna to Ashley Olsen to Brad Pitt. (They come in black too.) The tapered silhouette is flattering and the gum soles don't scuff.
