How To Beat Mercury In Retrograde
Here's the deal: all planets--including Earth--orbit the sun. When one of them laps the sun slower or faster, it appears to us on Earth that the planet is moving backward. Hence, the term, "in retrograde." In about a week or so, Mercury starts to seemingly backpedal--from May 29th through June 22nd--so astrologers caution us to expect disruptions in technology and communication. If you subscribe to astrology, this phase means flights could be delayed, texts could be misconstrued and your computer could sputter. What it doesn't mean is that people have a handy excuse to be late for a dinner date or send mean emails. I like to think of these three weeks as an opportunity to be thoughtful about where I go and what I say. There's never any harm in making sure that we are always moving forward, right?
