All Hail Phoebe Philo
“I don’t believe in making fashion difficult.”
Awesome news: Former artistic head of Chloé and Céline Phoebe Philo will return to fashion with a namesake collection, funded by LVMH. Philo, 48, is that designer who cuts silhouettes for real women who need to run to meetings and dodge errant Lego. (She was the first fashion designer to take maternity leave!) Her fabrics are always fluid enough for a backflip--and her designs often come with roomy pockets. Philo famously took a bow on the runway a decade ago wearing Stan Smith sneakers and gave us all license to ditch our pumps for Pumas. Check out some of her signature fashion looks here in ELLE.
