Ten Wedding Gowns?
Paris Hilton is as predictable as a turkey club--you know exactly what's between the bread. This week, the heiress said she would probably have "ten wedding dresses" for her upcoming nuptials. Who am I to deny Paris--who I interviewed back when I wrote a nightlife column--a gaggle of gowns on her big day? But really, come on. This trend in multiple wedding dresses is crazy and counterintuitive. That type of excess means nothing is special. The average wedding dress costs about $2,500. Serena Williams commissioned a custom $3.5 million dollar Alexander McQueen wedding dress, while Sarah Jessica Parker wore a simple black Morgane Le Fay sheath when she married Matthew Broderick in 1997. I'm no mathematician but maybe if you pick one dress, you have better odds of staying with one partner?
