Flip-Flops Are Officially Dead

Truth: I waited almost five weeks to get these boots, known as the Gemma ($225) from Cecilia New York. They were constantly sold out. Over that time, I yearned for them like you might pine for an ex-lover or Parisian butter. Anticipation was high. I got a little manic. When my suede booties with the preppy striped flourish finally arrived, I withdrew. Would they look as good and be as comfortable as I imagined? Could they live up to my footwear fantasy and transition my looks into fall? Yes, on all accounts.
