Who's Never Wearing Heels Again?
High heels must feel like the bitchy popular girl in an '80s teen movie--everyone has turned on them. A recent study reveals that sales of pumps and platforms dropped a whopping 70% in the second quarter of 2020. Even way before Covid hit, I was transitioning into more forgiving footwear like slides, clogs, loafers, block heeled boots and sneakers. Clearly, Kamala Harris--who pairs her Converse with pantsuits, as seen here in ELLE--gets the appeal of being mobile at all times.
I just invested in a pair of white leather FILA tennis sneakers with a 2-inch sole that I found on Amazon for $40 and they kill it with jeans, leggings and even maxi dresses. Suck it, stilettos.
