Does True Crime Make You Anxious?
Before we tackle our addiction to true crime, let's start with the "murder robe" trend on TikTok. You know about this, right? It's a craze where women parade around in flouncy dressing gowns--think Dynasty on Adderall--that make the perfect look for killing their rich husbands. (By the way, burlesque artist Catherine D'Lish has a line of the most sumptuous loungewear.) On to true crime: studies show that women lap up murder podcasts and shows, in part, because we're subconsciously honing our survival skills. Another reason could be that we like to solve problems and clean up after everyone--serial killers make a real mess. Click here to chat about true crime and make recommendations.
