Marilyn Monroe pumped iron in her jeans. There, I called it out so we can all move on. But seriously, women over 45 need to weight train. Why? Aging and the natural ebb of estrogen diminishes muscle mass, which slows our metabolism and makes it harder to burn calories. (Really? I hadn't noticed.) We also start to lose bone density and nobody wants weak bones.
